What to expect

Most people who walk through that door have never touched a barbell. Nobody's watching you. Everybody in the room was new once, and your coach scales every movement to wherever you actually are today. Here's how it goes.

1

Claim your free week

Tell us you're coming and someone will reach out to find a class time that fits your week. No sales call, no pressure.

2

Meet a coach, learn the basics

Your first sessions cover the basic movements at your own pace. A coach stays with you the whole time, and nothing gets loaded heavy until you're ready for it.

3

Find your people

By the end of the week you'll know a handful of names and where the chalk is. That's usually when people decide. We won't bring up membership until you do.

The TNT wall

Takes no talent.

There’s a wall in the gym with these eight things painted on it. Not one of them is a skill you have to be born with, and not one of them has anything to do with how fit you are the day you walk in.

  • 01
    Show up.
  • 02
    Work hard.
  • 03
    Give max effort.
  • 04
    Focus.
  • 05
    Stay disciplined.
  • 06
    Improve daily.
  • 07
    Be accountable.
  • 08
    Be consistent.

Bring those eight and the coaching is our problem. Start with a free week.

Inside the gym

This is a Tuesday

No highlight reel, no actors. Ropes, rings, a coach talking through the workout, and people who look like people. That wall in the background is the one we just told you about.

Something here fits your life

Group class is the heart of this place. There are a few other ways in, depending on who you are and what you need.

The main thing

CrossFit group classes

One hour, one coach, one clock, and a room full of people quietly pulling for you. Everything scales, so the person beside you might be lifting twice your weight or half of it. Nobody notices. Nobody cares.

The story

Eighteen years of people who kept showing up

This gym opened before most of Albuquerque had heard the word CrossFit, and it's outlasted every fitness trend since. The reason is boring: people stay. Aaron Bubbico has run it since 2019, on the stubborn belief that anybody who walks through the door can get strong here.

Some gyms you visit when motivation strikes. People make this one their home, the every day instead of the once in a while. The floor's clean, the coffee's on, and the coaches know your name by Thursday. All we ask you to bring is the willingness to walk in.

We mean it

How can we pray for you?

We care about what's going on outside the hour you spend here. If something heavy is happening, we'd be honored to pray for you.

Requests go straight to Aaron. They're never posted or shared with anyone.

Before you ask

The honest answers

I am really out of shape. Is that a problem?+

Honestly, that's how most people start. Every movement scales, you pick the weight, and the coach's whole job is to meet you where you are that day. Eighteen years in, we've started thousands of people from zero.

Do I need experience with weightlifting?+

None. Your first sessions teach the movements before you ever load a bar heavy. You get a real on-ramp, and nobody hands you a heavy bar on day one.

What is actually free about the free week?+

A full week of classes, no cost and no card on file, for local residents. Most boxes around town hand you one or two intro sessions. We'd rather you get a real week, see the 5am crowd and the evening crowd, and decide for yourself. If it isn't for you, no hard feelings.

Where are you and when are you open?+

5643 Jefferson Street NE. Classes run from 5am through the evening on weekdays, plus Saturday mornings. The weekly grid on this page pulls straight from our booking system, so it's always current. Call or text us at 505-264-7341.
